Il nome "Nikon D50" è stato registrato da Nikon già da alcuni mesi ;-)
La D70s è molto simile alla D70, ha solo uno schermo un pò più grande (2") ed alcuni altri piccoli miglioramenti. Spero che ci sia il sollevamento dello specchio e che abbiano finalmente corretto il contapose!
Sono davvero curioso di conoscere le caratteristiche e il prezzo della D50 (non ho fatto in tempo a scaricare il manuale, è stato rimosso quasi subito :-/ )

ho fatto un salto su dpreview e l'unico 3d che pèarlava della d50 diceva proprio che esistono nin giro siti che distribuiscono notizie in merito, a scopo illusoorio.
A questo punto non so proprio a chi credere: hai davvero scaricato il manuale della D70s? in cosa differisce dall'originale D70? prova a vedere se le pagine "aggiunte" o le caratteristiche millantate siano possibili o meno.
Io li sto vedendo adesso. A parte il sito dei sogni, gli altri mi sembrano proprio due manuali in formato elettronico, con tutte le descrizioni. Per ora sto sfogliando per dare un'occhiata... già un orrore è venuto a me: la d50 monta le SD.

Ho fatto ancora qualche prova e i link funzionano, ma ci vogliono 2-3 minuti prima che inizi il download ed anche con l'ADSL si scarica a 3-4 kbps.

Se questa è la vera D70s e l'obiettivo in kit il 18-55 dx... sono contento di averla comprata prima... 
Ho finito di vedere i manuali... ma a parte per la D50 che monta le SD e ha un program Kids, per la D70s che ha uno schermo più grandino (ma da 2" e non 2.5") non capisco proprio dove sta la differenza. E poi che senso ha un obiettivo 18-55 quando c'era il 18-70 che aveva anche qualche focale in più?!
Non mi pare ci sia differenza alcuna nella raffica, nè nella memorizzazione. Stesse funzioni, stesso mirino, boh?!
Forse hanno risolto qualche problema costruttivo interno, ma la mia D70 sembra un carro armato!!
Vedremo gli sviluppi...

sono andato su nikon asia per esplorare un po' e non ho trovato tracce di una D50 o di una D70s. L'obiettivo l'ho completamente ignirati, n quanto non rappresenta una "rivoluzione", anche se pure a me sembra strano che esistendo il 18-70 sia stato messo in produzione un obiettivo con una escursione minore la stessa luminosità ( c'è il 17-55 f2.8 ma è tutt'altra cosa)
provate anche voi: support e download di qualsiasi sito nikon e provate a vedere se esiste una SLR con nomi diversi dai "conosciuti".

Ritengo che, presto le Secure Digital [SD] faranno da padrone nel mondo DSLR, a discapito della robustezza si tende al minor ingombro a parità di capienza.
P.S. per ora continuo anch' io nel preferire le CF..

Sono in accordo con il Tuo pensiero…
Un ottica con un range focale pari al Professionale 17-55, ma con un /f un po più chiuso senza grandi pretese ma abbordabile da molti.
Per la sua semplicità, dimensione ed ingombro, la D50 non appena avrò modo di “provarla” credo entrerà a fare parte del mio piccolo, modesto corredo.

Se ieri sera quando te l'ho detto avessi provato ad aprire i link indicati su dpreview i famosi manuali ti sarebbero apparsi. Certo è che dopo un pò i 3D su dpreview sono stati "cancellati" dall'amministratore.
Come e perché ci sia stato questo "leaking" è tutto da spiegare, potrebbe anche essere stata una mossa di Nikon ed i motivi potrebbero essere molteplici.
In realtà per assurdo potrebbe anche accadere che la D70s non arrivi mai nei negozi...
ma esiste una secur digital da 4 o da 8 giga?
questo cambiamento di standard mi suona strano: chi si porta dappresso una attrezzatura da almeno 10 chili poi si preoccuperebbe per un paio di card?
già le compact sono piccole e si perdono facilmente.....
